The Ministry of Health (MoH) has issued a stark warning regarding the increased risk of building collapses due to the persistent March–April–May long rains in Kenya.

• The advisory highlights that prolonged rainfall can weaken building foundations, leading to structural failures.
• Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni Muriuki, urged Kenyans to remain vigilant and report any signs of structural weakness.
• Residents are advised to avoid cracked, flooded, or unsafe buildings and to contact emergency responders, as floods can also increase the risk of waterborne diseases.
