The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) is inviting victims of past protests and human rights violations, or their families, to file compensation claims by April 3, 2026.

• Victims must submit supporting documents by April 3, 2026.
• The KNCHR is developing a compensation and reparations framework following a High Court judgment and a directive from President William Ruto.
• A sum of Ksh.2 billion has been earmarked for compensation, with payments expected by June 2026.
