The Homa Bay County Government has launched Lenacapavir, an injectable antiretroviral drug, in an effort to significantly curb the spread of HIV/AIDS within the county.

Lenacapavir offers a new injectable pre-exposure prophylaxis intervention.
The rollout was spearheaded by Governor Gladys Wanga at Kendu Bay Level 4 Hospital.
Kenya is among the first countries globally to introduce this innovative prevention option, supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
