Supreme Court Justice Isaac Lenaola has assured Kenyans that there will be no judicial crisis at the Supreme Court ahead of the 2027 General Election, despite recent vacancies and speculation.

• Justice Lenaola confirmed that Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu is not retiring and the court is stable and functional.
• The vacancy left by the late Justice Mohammed Ibrahim will be filled by May.
• Even if Justice Njoki Ndung’u were to leave for the ICC, the court would still have six judges, enough to handle disputes.
