Kenya's Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Charles Kahariri, was awarded France's highest order of merit, the Legion of Honour, for his leadership and contributions to security cooperation.
- General Charles Kahariri received the Legion of Honour from the French Ambassador to Kenya, Arnaud Suquet, aboard the French ship DIXMUDE on Friday, March 13.
- Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the National Defence University-Kenya, Major General Joyce Sitienei, was also awarded the National Defence Medal – Gold Level.
