• Dr. Obwaka, a board member of Nairobi Hospital, was reportedly detained on Saturday morning despite having been granted anticipatory bail.
• The KMA, led by its president Dr. Simon Kigondu, is demanding Dr. Obwaka's immediate release, citing his age, health, and alleged disregard for court orders.
• The association accuses the state of abusing power to interfere with the leadership of the Kenya Hospital Association (KHA), which owns and operates the hospital.
