The roadmap for the 2026 Eldoret City Marathon has been set for its seventh edition on April 26, promising an even larger event with the return of Uasin Gishu County as title sponsor and Standard Group PLC as media partners.

• A prize purse of Sh15 million has been set aside, attracting athletes from Kenya, East Africa, and Europe, with over 200 already registered.
• Notable figures include Eldoret City Marathon race director Moses Tanui and Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, who will launch a Climate Action initiative.
• Plans are underway to potentially introduce a One Mile road race for middle-distance athletes, a first for a Kenyan event of this scale, alongside the certified 42km course and the 10km fun run.
