• Farmers are experiencing significantly better returns from avocados, with one farmer earning Sh200,000 from avocado sales, an amount unattainable from his tea farm in a year.
• The AIC Kimoso Widows Self-Help Group, comprising 360 widows, is actively embracing avocado farming, with some inter-cropping and others replacing tea entirely.
• The county government, under the Financing Locally Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) programme, has distributed 125,000 avocado seedlings to farmers to support this transition.
