Families displaced by the Kibendo landslide in Elgeyo-Marakwet have received new homes as part of a rebuilding initiative.

• 64 houses are being constructed across Kerio Valley, with 54 more in Chesongoch.
• Albert Kochei, Chairman of Elgeyo-Marakwet Professionals, presided over the handover of the first completed houses.
• The reconstruction project, which began on January 9, is a collaborative effort involving the National Youth Service, with each house costing approximately Sh1,000,500.
