Juja Member of Parliament John Kiomburi has proposed a motion to incorporate the Kikuyu language into parliamentary debates for two hours per sitting.

The Member of Parliament aims to ensure better representation and respect for the Kikuyu community, the largest ethnic group in Kenya.
The National Assembly is the legislative body where the motion will be tabled.
Current official languages in Parliament are English, Kiswahili, and Kenyan Sign Language, as per the Constitution of Kenya, Article 120.
