Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has nominated Danish Otieno Onyango to serve as the new Deputy Governor, following the resignation of the previous officeholder.

• The nomination is a response to the vacancy created by the resignation of Joseph Oyugi Magwanga in late February.
• The nominated individual, Danish Otieno Onyango, is currently the County Executive Committee member for Roads and Public Works.
• Onyango will assume the new role of Deputy Governor upon approval by the county assembly, while also continuing his duties in his initial position.
