Kenya's Transport CS Davis Chirchir has confirmed that the government is moving forward with plans to dual the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway and other key roads across the country.

The Nairobi-Mombasa Highway dualling will commence after the completion of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) assessment report.
Other prioritized projects include the dualling of the Kisumu-Kakamega Road, funded by the new National Infrastructure Fund, and the redesign of the dangerous Nithi Bridge.
The government is also seeking funds for improvements at the Coptic Roundabout and on the Kisumu-Muhoroni road.
