Two men, Douglas Muriithi and Antony Mugendi, have been sentenced to death in Meru County after being convicted of robbery with violence.

• The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) secured the conviction and sentencing.
• The duo robbed a woman of Ksh5,700, 87 kilogrammes of sugar (valued at Ksh13,050), and 17 kilogrammes of onions (worth Ksh850), totaling Ksh19,600.
• The armed attack occurred on September 6, 2024, at approximately 11:40 pm in Maua Location, Igembe South Sub-County, and the victim sustained injuries.
