The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a fresh heavy rainfall alert for Nairobi and 10 other regions, warning of potentially disruptive weather from March 18 to the morning of March 24.

• Expect moderate to heavy rainfall with a 33 per cent to 66 per cent probability across widespread areas.
• Key affected counties include Nairobi, Kiambu, Nakuru, Kisumu, Mombasa, Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, and Nyeri.
• Residents are cautioned about flash floods, poor visibility, and the risk of landslides, with particular warnings for arid/semi-arid areas near rivers and in low-lying zones.
