The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has issued a stern warning to political aspirants, urging them to refrain from using public resources and state offices for campaigns ahead of the 2027 General Election.

• EACC chairperson David Oginde emphasized the prohibition of misusing taxpayer-funded resources for political gain by both current and aspiring leaders.
• The commission also highlighted corruption as the country's second most pressing issue after youth unemployment, advocating for a multi-agency approach.
• Tharaka Nithi Member of Parliament George Murugara advised politicians to concentrate on service delivery and avoid hate speech and incitement, issues punishable by law.
