The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has secured funding from the World Bank to develop a comprehensive expressway network masterplan for Kenya.

The funding is part of the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project, aiming to enhance transport infrastructure and regional connectivity.
KeNHA announced the procurement of consultancy services for the masterplan, which will guide future investments in high-capacity highways.
The initiative is expected to attract significant private sector participation, including through Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), and consulting firms have nine months to complete the analysis.
