The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has achieved a significant victory in Kakamega County, securing a life sentence for a 72-year-old man convicted of defiling a 10-year-old girl.

A life sentence was handed down to Andobe Sablah Aukhuma.
The prosecution was led by Prosecution Counsels Ian Makotsi and Stellah Adeny on behalf of the DPP.
In a related case, two other men received 20-year sentences each for defiling and impregnating a 15-year-old minor.
