The County Government of Kirinyaga has launched a new strategy to combat Tuberculosis (TB) by enhancing early diagnosis and treatment access.

• 1,500 TB cases were diagnosed in 2023.
• The initiative was spearheaded by the County Executive Committee Member for Health, George Karoki.
• A new Integrated Sample Referral System aims to expedite lab results from remote areas, with 107 TB service points operating countywide.
