The Senate County Public Accounts Committee (CPAC) has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, to produce Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja before the committee by Monday, March 30. Failure to comply could lead to a resolution declaring Sakaja unfit for public office.

• The committee has also fined Governor Sakaja KSh 500,000 for previously missing a summons.
• The CPAC, chaired by Moses Kajwang, is seeking Sakaja's response to audit queries for the 2024/2025 financial year.
• Due to Sakaja's absence, the committee will adopt the Auditor General's report, which flags Nairobi for illegalities and misappropriation of public resources.
