The race for the Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament seat has intensified as the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) prepares for its nomination primaries on Friday, March 27, 2026. This election is a critical "do-or-die" contest for the six remaining aspirants vying to succeed the late MP, Mr Johana Ng'eno, who tragically died in a helicopter crash on February 28.

The number of aspirants has narrowed from 12 to six following withdrawals and endorsements.
Frontrunners include Bernard Ngeno, David Keter, and youth leader Kibet Rotich Farouk.
The late MP's widow, Ms Nayianoi Ngeno, was among those who withdrew from the race after initially being endorsed by the family.
