Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has strongly condemned the practice of hiring youth as "hecklers" and "goons for hire" by some politicians, advocating for their empowerment instead.

• Deputy President Kindiki emphasized that young people are a vital resource for national development, not simply tools for political maneuvering.
• The Deputy President spoke on Wednesday at Alliance High Grounds, Kikuyu Constituency, Kiambu County, during the graduation of 1880 young people trained in various vocational skills funded by the Kikuyu NGCDF.
• The government has initiated several programs, including affordable housing construction and online job platforms, creating employment for hundreds of thousands of youth since 2022.
