The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has shortlisted five candidates for a Supreme Court Judge position following the death of Justice Mohamed Ibrahim. The interviews are scheduled for April 28 and April 29.

Five candidates are shortlisted out of six applications.
Key figure: Katwa Kigen, along with Justices Warsame Abdulahi Mohammed, Joseph Kiplagat Sergon, Francis Kipruto Tuiyott, and former IPOA Chair Anne Waceke Kiratu Makori.
The position became available due to the passing of Justice Mohamed Ibrahim in December 2025.
