The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is launching a nationwide Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise starting Monday, March 30, 2026, to boost voter numbers for the 2027 General Election.
- The 30-day exercise aims to register new voters, allow transfers, and update voter particulars across numerous centres.
- IEBC, led by Chairperson Erastus Ethekon and Commissioner Ann Nderitu, has already registered 277,903 new voters since September 30 last year.
- Registration will take place at ward levels, universities, colleges, Huduma Centres, and constituency offices, excluding areas with by-elections or petitions.
