The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is launching a nationwide Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise starting Monday, March 30, 2026, to boost voter numbers for the 2027 General Election.

The 30-day exercise aims to register new voters, allow transfers, and update voter particulars across numerous centres.
IEBC, led by Chairperson Erastus Ethekon and Commissioner Ann Nderitu, has already registered 277,903 new voters since September 30 last year.
Registration will take place at ward levels, universities, colleges, Huduma Centres, and constituency offices, excluding areas with by-elections or petitions.
