• The fake poster, bearing the Daily Nation logo and an image of President William Ruto, falsely promotes access to Ksh36,000.
• NYOTA, a government initiative supporting youth with startup capital, emphasizes that all its services are free and accessible via USSD code *254#.
• The project, launched in September last year, offers grants and training to unemployed Kenyans aged 18-29 (extended to 35 for persons with disabilities) and does not offer loans or have a mobile app.
