Police have arrested the prime suspect in the brutal murder and beheading of 30-year-old security guard Jackline Awuor in Bahati, Nakuru. The suspect, Evans Abutu, was apprehended in Kakamega County.

The missing head of the victim was recovered by investigators in an abandoned quarry near where her body was found on March 29.
The suspect, Evans Abutu, was arrested following a joint operation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and local police.
Investigators also recovered a kitchen knife believed to be the murder weapon and rescued Awuor’s three-year-old daughter, who had been taken by the suspect.
