Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has strongly refuted claims that it issued fake degrees, including to individuals who never attended the institution.

• The allegations were made by former minister Mukhisa Kituyi, who claimed to have evidence of non-admitted names on a recent graduation list.
• MMUST defended its rigorous graduation process, stating it adheres to all academic and statutory standards.
• Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has directed the Commission for University Education (CUE) to investigate the matter.
