KTDA reports the Chemosit hydro power project is 51% complete, with expected completion soon for both Chemosit and Kipsonoi projects.
KTDA Acting CEO Engineer Francis Miano stated that only 1 billion shillings, not over 3 billion, was collected and properly utilized, attributing delays to land acquisition challenges.
Energy Principal Secretary Alex Wachira confirmed KTDA has completed several hydro power projects, contributing approximately 50 megawatts to the national grid.
The parliamentary committee pledged to visit the project sites to verify their status.
