The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) national elections will proceed as planned after the Employment and Labour Relations Court (ELRC) in Kisumu overturned its previous order halting the polls.

2,280 Knut delegates will elect office bearers for 44 national positions.
The reversal came after the court found the petitioner obtained the initial order through "concealment of facts."
The elections are scheduled to take place today, Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu.
