The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) is facing calls to extend its deadline for victims of human rights violations to submit documentation for reparations.

• A total of 1,244 victims have been compiled so far for verification.
• The KNCHR is tasked with submitting a Reparations Framework report to the Head of State.
• The Coast Civil Society Network for Human Rights (CCSNHR) argues that the allocated time is insufficient to cover victims from 2017 to date.
