A separate multi-vehicle crash on the Londiani Junction-Muhuroni road resulted in 20 injuries, with five people in critical condition, while another serious crash in Kericho involved Simba Coach and Dreamliner buses. Mombasa County subsequently implemented a temporary three-month restriction on heavy commercial vehicles exceeding 10 tonnes during peak traffic hours.
