The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is aiming to register 139,892 new voters in Nyeri County during the ongoing Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise.

• The electoral body hopes to increase the county's registered voter count from the current 481,631 to 621,524.
• IEBC Nyeri Manager Peter Mauta is spearheading the registration drive, which began on March 30.
• Young people under 35 years old represent the largest demographic visiting registration desks, accounting for 80-90% of turnout.
