The Kenyan government has initiated the construction of a new multi-agency security camp near the Marsabit–Wajir border to combat drug and human trafficking.

• The facility is located in Eldas Constituency, a strategic area identified as a major smuggling route from neighboring Ethiopia.
• Key personnel involved include Wajir County Commissioner Karuku Ngumo.
• The camp will house units from the General Service Unit, Kenya Police Service, Administration Police Service, and the National Intelligence Service, aiming to improve coordination and response to cross-border crime.
