One Petroleum Limited has blocked an illegal fuel import following a directive from the Kenyan government. The consignment, priced significantly higher than the approved rate, posed a threat to fuel price stability.

• A 60,000-metric-tonne cargo of Super Petrol was imported at KSh 198,000 per metric tonne, exceeding the government rate of Sh140,000.
• The directive came from Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, ordering One Petroleum Ltd to recall and export the disputed cargo.
• The importation contravened Kenya's Government-to-Government (G-to-G) fuel supply arrangement, designed to ensure price stability and consistent supply.
