Kisii County Governor Simba Arati has launched a significant bursary program, disbursing KSh315 million to support students in the region and help them remain in school.

KSh315 million distributed to students, with each receiving a minimum of KSh5000.
The initiative was overseen by Governor Simba Arati and his deputy Elijah Obebo at Nyamarambe Stadium on Wednesday, April 8.
This is the second bursary rollout this year, following a KSh300 million program in January 2026.
