The opening Wanda Diamond League meeting in Doha, originally scheduled for May 8th, has been postponed to June 19th due to safety concerns.

• The meeting will now be held at the Khalifa International Stadium, a temperature-regulated venue, instead of the Qatar Sports Club.
• The decision was made by the Diamond League, in coordination with meeting organisers and Qatari authorities, prioritizing athlete and spectator safety.
• This rescheduled event makes Doha the eighth leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League.
