President William Ruto has invited Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) of the Nairobi County Assembly to a cocktail reception at State House this evening following a special address he delivered.

The invitation was extended by the Nairobi County Assembly Speaker, Kennedy Okeyo Ng'ondi, on behalf of the President.
This marks the first time a Kenyan Head of State has formally addressed a county assembly, 16 years after the advent of devolution.
