The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has advanced its Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) modernization project with a comprehensive pre-bid site visit for prospective developers.

• The expansion project is slated to cost Ksh20 billion and commence in the first week of June 2026.
• KAA, alongside project consultants DAR Al-Handasah, guided potential investors through the airport's airside and landside facilities.
• The visit aimed to provide bidders with practical insights into the airport's operational environment and the scale of the modernization plan, which follows a 20-year master plan until 2045.
