Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has sacked his entire Cabinet, including the County Attorney and County Secretary, in a move aimed at safeguarding county institutions' integrity amidst a supremacy battle with the County Assembly.

• All 10 County Executive Committee (CEC) members, the County Attorney, and the County Secretary were dismissed.
• The sackings occurred as the County Assembly was preparing to table motions to impeach several key county executive officers.
• Governor Lusaka stated the decision was made "in good faith and in the broader public interest to facilitate the efficient functioning of the County Government."
