The Public Procurement Administrative Review Board (PPARB) has rejected appeals by Finnish firm Kalmar Finland Oy, upholding the Kenya Ports Authority's (KPA) decisions to disqualify the company from two tenders totaling Sh1.3 billion.

• The disputes involved tenders for 14 reach stackers and 15 forklift trucks.
• Kalmar Finland Oy was disqualified for failing to meet key requirements in both bids.
• The PPARB ruled that mandatory compliance with tender instructions was non-negotiable, allowing KPA to proceed with awarding the contracts.
