The Gitaru Interchange, a key component of the Nairobi Western Bypass, is nearing completion, with construction at the interchange itself reaching 90%, according to the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA).

• The overall Nairobi Western Bypass project stands at 85% complete.
• KeNHA Director General Engineer Luka Kimeli visited the site on April 14 to assess progress.
• The 17.3-kilometre Western Bypass, costing approximately Ksh17 billion, is designed to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the capital.
