The Ministry of Interior and National Administration has identified the Rift Valley, Nyanza, and Western regions as leading areas in the illicit alcohol trade, following a nationwide operation that recovered 2.8 million litres of illegal brews.

• Illicit alcohol seizures were highest in the Rift Valley (800,000 litres), Nyanza (690,000 litres), and Western (600,000 litres) regions.
• Key organizations involved include the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) and the Ministry of Interior.
• Specific hotspots for production and sale identified include counties such as Kisii, Kakamega, Nakuru, and West Pokot.
