The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a reduction in fuel prices for the April 16 to May 14, 2026 period, following a decrease in Value Added Tax (VAT) on petroleum products affecting Super Petrol and Diesel.
- Super Petrol in Nairobi will now sell at Ksh197.60 per litre, with Diesel at Ksh196.63 per litre.
- The reduction is a result of the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury lowering VAT from 16 per cent to 8 per cent.
- Kerosene prices remain unchanged, though the subsidy has been adjusted downward.
