The Environment and Land Court has ruled that the Catholic Church is the rightful owner of a prime property in Eldoret, but has allowed a state oil pipeline to remain on the land.

• The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops was declared the lawful owner of property registered as Eldoret Municipality Block 14/19.
• The court affirmed an overriding legal interest for Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) due to an underground oil pipeline installed in 2014.
• The court invalidated an easement agreement granted by the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, stating the university lacked the capacity to do so.
