A tragic accident involving a funeral convoy in Homa Bay has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left several others injured. The incident occurred during the retrieval of a body from a local morgue.

• Two people, identified as 37-year-old Austine Ochieng and an unidentified boy, were killed.
• The accident involved a vehicle in the funeral procession heading from MED25 Kirindo Hospital mortuary to Kalamindi Village.
• Three other mourners sustained serious injuries and are reportedly in stable condition at Homa Bay Teaching and Referral Hospital.
