Kenya plans to leverage a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to generate rental income from its diplomatic missions by leasing commercial space within six African embassies.

• The National Treasury initiated the directive, aiming to modernise infrastructure and enhance asset utilization.
• This new strategy aims to transform embassies from cost centers into self-sustaining assets through private sector participation in construction and maintenance, with commercial tenants subsidizing diplomatic operations.
