Wetang’ula Urges Health Ministry to Fix SHA Challenges Facing Teachers - April 2026

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has urged the Ministry of Health to swiftly resolve challenges impacting teachers under the Social Health Authority medical scheme. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has also urged Kenyan teachers to reject the current SHA medical insurance scheme, deeming it inadequate and demanding better insurance. Over 500 residents of Elburgon in Nakuru County received free medical services at a camp focused on early detection and management of chronic diseases. On World Malaria Day, Kenya is intensifying its fight against the disease by distributing 10 million mosquito nets to significantly reduce malaria cases and deaths among vulnerable populations.
