A Nakuru widow is suing the Speaker of Nyandarua County Assembly, Steve Wachira Waiganjo, alleging fraudulent transfer of a seven-acre land parcel. The widow claims Mr. Waiganjo, who was her lawyer, transferred the land to his name in 2018.

• The land in question is believed to be valued at approximately Sh20 million.
• The widow, Salome Wanjiru Kamau, accuses Mr. Waiganjo of fraud while he was handling her legal affairs regarding the land, which was originally allocated to her deceased husband by First President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta in 1976.
• Mr. Waiganjo denies the allegations, stating the land is rightfully his and has been cleared of fraud claims by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
