Kenya is expanding its HPV vaccine program to include boys starting this September, a move experts believe will significantly reduce future cancer cases.

• The roll-out will initially be in the private sector.
• Coordinated by MSD Africa, a multinational pharmaceutical company, in collaboration with the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi) and Ministries of Health.
• This expansion aims to combat cancers like throat, anal, and penile cancers that affect men, in addition to cervical cancer in women, and supports Kenya's goal to eliminate cervical cancer by 2030.
