The High Court has dismissed a 51-year land dispute, denying a group of squatters ownership of 300 acres from the estate of former Nyandarua North MP, JM Kariuki.

• The Environment and Land Court ruled the claim by Nyakinyua Ndorua Kanini Kega Farmers Company and its alleged 580 members was legally flawed and previously decided.
• The disputed land spans approximately 808 acres in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County.
• The court rejected claims of a gift from JM Kariuki before his 1975 assassination and arguments for adverse possession due to admitted prior permission and interrupted occupation.
