Following a fatal crash on the Mai Mahiu–Narok Road that resulted in multiple fatalities, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has escalated its nationwide road safety enforcement efforts.

• 8 people were confirmed dead, including the driver and seven passengers of a Voxy vehicle, after a truck lost control and collided head-on with it.
• The NTSA is collaborating with the National Police Service to investigate the incident and inform future road safety interventions.
• The crackdown includes intensifying Operation Watoto Wafike Salama nationwide, focusing on school transport compliance as schools reopen.
